As the Outreach Coordinator for Camp Fire Central Oregon, a fantastic youth development nonprofit, I have the privilege to interact with community members on a daily basis through social media, print media, and face-to-face contact. I love designing and writing copy for flyers and brochures, engaging our online member base, organizing events, and attending fun networking events like ConnectW’s monthly meetings. Of course, it helps that I believe deeply in the organization that I work for. Camp Fire recognizes the need for every young person to explore a breadth of activities, so we provide myriad diverse opportunities for youth, pre-K through high school, to discover what they love to do—to find their spark. We currently offer camps, monthly family events, and after-school programs, and we’ll be expanding our programming over the coming years.
