To help us stay informed and ready, representatives from the Oregon Department of Forestry will share valuable insights into how wildfires start, spread, and can be prevented.

You’ll learn practical tips to reduce fire risks around your home and community, understand the latest fire danger forecasts, and discover how to respond effectively in the event of an evacuation. Whether you live in town or in a rural area, this conversation will empower you with knowledge to protect yourself, your property, and your neighborhood.

This session is especially relevant for those who live, work, or recreate in fire-prone areas.

From a suburban Utah upbringing to international educational experiences to wildland firefighting in Oregon and the West, Kimberly has come to learn that a holistic approach to problem-solving and bringing diverse groups together is what brings her the greatest joy, most successful outcomes, and an overall feeling of fulfillment in the challenges and adventures that life presents. She looks forward to working together to make our Central Oregon landscape a more resilient, long-lasting place to enjoy.
