Relay for Life LogoAmerican Cancer Society is saving lives and creating more birthdays by helping people stay well, by helping people get well,  by finding cures and by fighting back against cancer!

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.

What I love most about my job is that I have the opportunity to educate the communities in Central Oregon about the true day to day impact that American Cancer Society has on each and everyone of us, whether or not we have heard those dreaded words “You have cancer.” I also have the opportunity to be part of raising awareness and gaining community involvement in our signature fundraising event Relay for Life. Our Relay for Life of Bend/Redmond/Sisters is just around the corner- August 10-11, 2013. Go to the website, check it out, and even more importantly register for the event and come be a part of the fight back against cancer!
