SUMMARY:March 2026 Dinner Meeting with Jane Hiatt Presenting
DESCRIPTION:The hidden trauma standing between you and your dreams\n  \nImportant deadline to register:\nMidnight\, Sunday\, March 15\, 2026\nEvent date: Wednesday\, March 18\, 2026\, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm PT\nVenue: Keller Williams Office\, 233 SW Wilson Ave\, Suite 102\, Bend\nYou have dreams. We all do. Maybe you want to take your business to the next level.\nMaybe you want a loving spouse. Maybe you have a secret dream to write a novel or\nclimb the Himalayas. If your dreams aren’t on track\, the reason may be hiding in your\npast. Trauma. \nYou may not believe you have trauma if you weren’t the victim of some terrible abuse.\nThe reality is that growing up is traumatic as we evolve from adorable babies to\nadulthood\, responding to the conditioning of parents\, siblings\, and society. We receive\nmessages–I call them story potions–that diminish our self-esteem and our prospects.\nThe good news is that this is not permanent damage. There are ways to repair what has\nbeen injured and help available from the Great Mystery. By acknowledging the story\npotions you have internalized\, you can begin to get back on course to realizing your\ndreams. \nIn this presentation\, Jane Hiatt will\n Elaborate on the idea of story potions so you walk away with a clearer concept of\nwhat inner adversary is standing between you and your dreams.\n Teach you the secret language of the subconscious mind so you can\ncommunicate effectively with the part that is sabotaging your momentum.\n Give you a relaxing experience that helps you access your own wisdom more\neasily. \nAbout our presentor\, Jane Hiatt: \nJane Hiatt is one of the longest-standing members of ConnectW. Having joined in 1993\, she has been a regular presence at monthly meetings and has served on the board as president\, programs director\, and membership director. \nJane is a transformational connector—part healer\, part storyteller\, part spiritual midwife. For over 30 years\, she’s helped people rewrite the unconscious narratives that keep them stuck\, using hypnotherapy\, imagination\, and the deep medicine of story. \nA practicing hypnotherapist since 1992 and ordained Unity minister since 2015\, Jane’s work lives at the intersection of trauma healing and soul remembrance. She specializes in treating the invisible wounds of early childhood—those inherited\, internalized\, and buried deep in the subconscious. Her approach doesn’t just soothe the symptoms; it gets to the root. \nHer purpose is to remove the landmines of trauma from the field of consciousness and plant wildflowers of joy in their place. Through the sacred tools of love and story\, she helps people come home to themselves—gently\, powerfully\, and permanently. \nJane is the author of Deep Medicine for Trauma\, 5 Powerful Healing Treatments That Experts Have Overlooked\, a book designed to offer hope that you can move past trauma and return to the wholeness that is your essence. Jane is a powerful teacher who offers an assortment of online programs to help people find freedom. She is delighted for the opportunity to speak to her longtime Connect W community. \nSee and read more about Jane on these platforms: \nhttps://janehiatt.com/\, https://www.facebook.com/jane.hiatt.102\, https://substack.com/@janehiatt1225\, https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-hiatt-7a448bb6/\, https://www.instagram.com/jane.hiatt/\, https://www.youtube.com/@janehiatt5242

SUMMARY:Advance Directive Workshop - Feb 9th\, Bend
DESCRIPTION:Brandie Foster used to be a nurse\, and now she’s in her sixth year of working in real estate. Through her experience\, she sees a recurring issue: people failing to plan for their estate (Wills and Trusts) and medical care (Advance Directives). Whether it’s in healthcare or real estate\, Brandie’s goal is to help others address these gaps and improve their planning. \nShe often hears two responses: “Brandie\, I have an advance directive\,” or “Brandie\, I don’t know what that is.” Either way\, she knows most advance directives lack crucial details\, leaving loved ones in the dark when critical decisions arise. These four-page forms tend to start with “everything’s fine\,” skip the difficult middle parts\, and conclude with the “not fine” scenario. Brandie isn’t trying to scare anyone—she wants to help them tackle the hard conversations and get their plans in order. \n\nThe first problem is the form. It’s too vague and misses essential steps like making a plan and discussing it with the people who will need to carry it out. The beginning and end of the form are straightforward\, but the middle—where most of the real work lies—is the challenge. Brandie’s focus is to help address these middle pieces.\nThe second problem is the doctor’s office. It’s often difficult to get medical providers to dedicate time to thoroughly discuss and complete an advance directive. Brandie has ideas to help individuals navigate this process and ensure it’s done right.\nThe third problem is communication. Whether it’s having the conversation with overbearing children or being the overbearing child yourself\, these discussions are often avoided out of fear of conflict. Brandie has strategies to approach this in a productive way.\n\nDate/Time: February 9\, 3 pm \nLocation: Brandie’s office at Keller Williams\, 233 SW Wilson Ave Suite 102\, Bend \n(connect with Brandie by email for any questions) \nMore information:\nThrough her past and present work\, Brandie has seen families frozen in fear\, unable to make decisions. She’s witnessed these situations play out in hospitals\, assisted living facilities\, nursing homes\, memory care units\, and even private homes. The consequences are significant\, creating long-lasting rifts in families. Brandie is passionate about helping others “thaw” these fears and address them head-on. \nThat’s why she’s encouraging everyone to attend a workshop with Nurse Kari. With an extensive background in nursing and senior care\, Kari is equipped to guide participants through the process of creating or refining their advance directives. \nYes\, the workshop is free. No\, Kari and Brandie aren’t exchanging payments. No\, it’s not about real estate. Some attendees will leave with actionable insights\, while others may realize they need more personalized help. If additional support is needed\, Kari can assist\, but that’s entirely optional. \nTo be clear\, no medical advice will be handed out. This is about starting the conversation and taking steps to prepare. \nBrandie invites everyone—experts\, Google doctors\, overbearing children\, clueless parents\, seniors\, and curious individuals—to join her for an hour or two to discuss this important topic. There will be snacks and wine\, too\, as a way to give back to the community! \nDate/Time: February 9\, 3 pm \nLocation: Brandie’s office at Keller Williams\, 233 SW Wilson Ave Suite 102\, Bend \n\nA special ‘Thank You” to our ConnectW Corporate Sponsor: \n \n…and to our ConnectW Large Business Sponsor: Terry Sprecher with Sprecher Group.
