We are excited to present Aly Waibel, our keynote speaker for our November 7th dinner meeting!
Aly will introduce us to Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) and lead us through some communication exercises. CCT will support you to improve your relationships with friends, family, clients, patients, staff and coworkers with tools and practices you can immediately put to work to:
• Improve awareness
• Increase connection to others, to increase your effectiveness and influence
• Decrease the distress you may feel in difficult situations
In 2013, in the midst of her doctoral program, Aly completed the one-year Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) Teacher Training Program at the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education at Stanford Medical School. CCT is a perfect blend of her interest in spirituality, personal growth and emotional intelligence, and her formal study of adult education and lifelong learning. Aly completed her PhD in Teaching, Learning and Sociocultural Studies at the University of Arizona, College of Education in Tucson in 2015.
She has taught in a variety of adult learning settings – including a flight school, the University of Arizona and a few mining companies – for over 15 years. Her expertise includes experiential learning, professional development, and lifelong learning.
